IKEBANA INTERNATIONAL was founded by Mrs. Ellen Gordon Allen in 1956 with its motto "Friendship through Flowers", and has grown to have 8,500 members at 165 chapters in 60 countries all over the world.

Why don't you join us and experience the unique and fascinating world of Ikebana?

There are two types of membership.

Chapter Members are the members of prospective chapter or chartered chapter of IKEBANA INTERNATIONAL who have paid the annual dues. Member may transfer from one Chapter to another by presenting the current membership card.

Members-at-Large are the individuals who live in an area where no chapter exists and have paid the annual dues directly to the International Headquarters. Members-at-Large may have a chance to open up new chapters.

Dues
Annual due for chapter members is JPY 6,000, while that for members-at large is JPY 8,000. The fiscal year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31. Members may pay their dues in Yen or in US Dollars of equivalent value.

Please note
that IKEBANA INTERNATIONAL by itself does NOT provide ikebana lessons. Those who want to take lessons should visit an ikebana school at their choice for that information is available at IKEBANA INTERNATIONAL.
